Prayer

Rose-colored light, a mountain's green,
The world tonight reminds me of you.

The mountains' message surrounds me at day's end,
Breathes me in,
Cries out your name in tones of ecstasy.
I feel the luck of these days,
The exquisiteness
Of your ways
Sweeps through my senses,
As my breath escapes me.

There is thunder, there is lightning
Always
They distract me from the dream chased.
I am in a holy space
where the Gods of a sweet heart
welcome me like a hero,
Home from the wars of existence.
I kiss the dirt and drink from puddles
Over which my queen has tread.

I feel prepared to meet my end,
But it's too early for that!

How the eyes of hearts I love
Filled with glee for me today
Recognizing pride's shining,
The love I hold to the sky.

And it's not a sacrifice;
Your brightness illuminates my night.

Give me no dawns
Without the embracing gaze
That has loved me this day.
