Morning Dew

With each exchange
I see the range
Of emotions getting brighter.
From night comes day
Where your words lay
Upon the brow of my awakening,
Like dew upon the blades of my consciousness.

Of all the words imbibed,
No true answer has arrived
To explicate the mystery
of two souls joined.

I'm not sure I want to know.

Like a ship gliding, silent
Upon the tides unfathomable,
Its destination a soundless secret,
I lie, quiet and content
With the knowledge of no knowledge,
Washed pure and clean,
Yearning so to glean
The wisdom in your smile.

The sun which leaks into my eyes
Dispels shadows from my mind,
Causing me to see the lapping waves
Of sorrow, and of joy,
The water on which we sink
or ride.

A reflectionin which we bathe
I know you're on my side
For time is in your smile;
Awash in the surprise
that our natures coincide.
