Ode to a Northern Venus

From where derive your sparkle eyes?
From the vast, wise northern ice?
I am so intent upon the journey
Have cast away all the worries
Keeping me from all of the sweet pleasures
Of undulating hills of love unmeasured;
Tying me up in the laughter of your soul
I have joyously relinquished all control,
Wanting only to be besmirched
By your love in Eros'church.

Though time's constrained, I feel forever
Calling, I cannot be severed
From the beautiful cleverness you bequeath,
From the sweet wonder that lies far beneath
The soft grey warmness beyond your smile,
The shrewd enigma that graces me while
I hold you in my arms, asleep
I sink into your caress, deep
I have been changed
Heart's rearranged.

Of what I can't define I'm usually curious
And mysteries unexplained leave me furious
But as for the riddle of your feisty soul
It is only ignorance I wish to know.
Being left in darkness will protract
All the vital longing, so intact
That I feel the throbbing of life's essence
In the long midnight sun of your presence.
You've brought me closer to myself
I believe there is no one else
I've welcomed more into my heart,
Where your love's charm has left its mark.
